After entering an IVF cycle, ovulation stimulation is the core stage that determines the number and quality of retrieved eggs; Universe Fertility Hospital formulates an individualized plan based on each person ovarian reserve.
1. Start timing
Arrive at the hospital on days 1-3 of the menstrual period, complete the consultation, B-ultrasound review, and hormone testing, and after confirming the baseline ovarian status, formally start stimulation medication; the entire cycle typically lasts 10-12 days.
2. Monitoring and medication adjustment
During stimulation, 3-4 B-ultrasound monitoring sessions are arranged to track follicular development and hormone levels simultaneously; the physician adjusts the dosage in real time to avoid the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation. All medications are taken as prescribed; please do not adjust the dosage on your own.
3. Trigger shot and egg retrieval handover
When follicles reach maturity, a trigger shot is scheduled; about 36 hours after the injection, egg retrieval is performed under general anesthesia, lasting about 15-20 minutes, after which you may leave once rest and observation show no abnormalities.
4. Daily precautions
During the stimulation phase, a high-protein diet is recommended, with regular sleep and avoidance of staying up late, and avoiding strenuous exercise and heavy physical labor. Chinese-speaking interpreters accompany you throughout the visits, and medication and re-examination times are reminded in advance.
